My experiences as an educator and as a parent have provided me with valuable insights that help me to empathize and strategize with families who are struggling to find the best paths for their children.

Services

Tutoring

I will work with the family and collaborate with allied professionals to gain an understanding of your child’s unique learning profile. Once their needs are identified, I will provide one-on-one tutoring sessions tailored to your child’s specific academic and organizational needs. A 50-minute session will always include elements of evidence-based programs while using a multisensory approach. Building a relationship with your child is my highest priority as it facilitates my ability to motivate and provide support. My overall mission is to build confidence and reduce anxiety for you and your child.

Education Consulting

Sometimes the current learning context seems to be the cause of a child’s difficulties at school. I am here to help you unpack your experience and explore your options. Many times it is a shift in outlook or a new approach that is needed in your child’s current learning environment. We often start by exploring resources within the current environment. If the answers do not arise in that space, I am here to help. Working together, we will seek a new path towards success.

  • INITIAL CONSULTATION

In this first meeting, we will take an hour to get to know one another.

I am interested in learning about your child and the context that either works or does not work to support their current needs. I will spend time asking questions and really listening to your concerns.

We will work our way toward a common understanding of your wishes and needs. I will follow up with an email that outlines your plan of action and my involvement in that plan. The point is to create a step-by-step path toward success.

    Initial Fee | $150

  • ONGOING WORK

I’m here to help you navigate your plan in the fashion that suits you best. You choose how much support you need, from minimal support through phone conversations to in-person partnering in your exploration and working with your family to get a true sense of your child’s needs.

I am here to offer insights and information regarding academic and social/emotional learning curricula within specific schools. I can also provide statistical and demographic information for each school and connect you with parents and students within many schools across the city for an inside perspective.

    Hourly Fee | $100

Additional Services

In addition, I can and will:

  • Visit schools with your family | $150 per school visit

  • Speak with learning services program coordinators and admissions directors on your behalf | $120 — 1 hour consultation fee (prorated by 15-minute increments)

  • Review Neuropsychological Test Results and Individualized Education Plans (IEP’s) | $75 per report
